Day 1 – Monday

LjubljanaDepart from New York via Belgrade to Ljubljana on overnight nonstop flight, dinner and breakfast served by carrier.

 

Day 2 – Tuesday

LjubljanaArrival at airport Ljubljana – Slovenia 09.00am – Transfer to hotel, check-in, lunch time at local restaurant. Ljubljana is a small city with a vibrant atmosphere. The unique and picturesque architetures of the triple bridge, that connect Presern square to the old city centre is the heart and main attraction of Ljubljana. The completely renovated Ljubljana Castle awaits you to come on the top of the hill on foot or by funicular railway and see the city from a different perspective. Walking food and wine tour at old city part – back to hotel – overnight.

 

Day 3 – Wenesday

BledHotel – breakfast – tour to the Alpine region below the Julian Alps. Arriving Bled magnificent Alpine resort with the only true island in Slovenia. For centuries Bled has been the symbol of natural beauty and home fairy tales. Ascend the old 12TH century castle, perched on top of a steep cliff with spectacular views on the lake, the famous Bled island the surrounding peaks. A boat ride width “Pletna”-traditional boat made by local, is among the must-do things when visiting Bled. Not only because of the authentic boat experience, but a true journey back in time. Standing paddilers will take you to the island with 99 stone steps on the way to the Assumption of Mary church and fortune bell. Make sure not to miss the Bled cream cake the notorious local desert. Time to head south to discover the mysteries the Slovenian karst in the Postojna cave, by electrical train and walk through beautiful passages and chambers with spectacular drop stones, pillars, line stones curtains of the underground world. At the idyllic village of Predjama you will enjoy the medieval fairytale of the amazing Predjama castle, the largest cave castle with its dramatic setting in the gaping mouth of a cavern hallway up a hillside. Learn about the legend of a famous knight Erasmus – the Slovenian Robin Hood and other local folk traditions before heading back to Ljubljana hotel.

 

Day 4 – Thursday

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day tour to Bohinj Lake, a magnificent alpine resort located on the sunny side of the Alps. It is known because of its typical and the biggest natural lake in Slovenia. The peaceful lake and booming waterfalls, deep gorges and silent pools, timid animals and luxurious alpine flowers, impressive creations of nature and majestic natural phenomena. We will start the tour visiting the mountain Vogel to enjoy all the natural beauty and proceed with the waterfall Savica – one of the most beautiful waterfalls in this part of Europe. Transfer to airport Ljubljana 08.00 pm -arrival at airport Belgrade – transfer to hotel.

Day 5 – Friday

Belgrade on Sava riverBreakfast at the hotel in Belgrade.Bus tour we’ll start with Ada Ciganlija – from isolated island to sea of Belgrade-beautiful promenade, flanked by cafes and nightclubs. Topcider is the oldest park with Prince Milos Obrenovic Palace. Complex King’s Palaces and church at Dedinje Hill, the White palace is the newest residence of the Karadjordjevic dynasty, built in 1934 by the order of King Alexander. On the way to the downtown we’ll visit St Sava Cathedral on of the biggest in orthodox countries, situated on the Vracar plateau. Later afternoon we’ll visit Kalimegdan as a cultural and historical complex with Ruzica church, shrine of the St. Parasceva (Sv. Petka), the water well under the church with cupola is curative even in the present. Dinner at Skadarlia bohemian part, famous writers, actors, painters and journalists used to live here. Overnight hotel In-Belgrade.

 

Day 6 – Saturday

BelgradeBreakfast at the hotel. BEG. Departure by bus to Topola was the political  and administrative seat of Serbia during the First Uprising, here we’ll see the Mausoleum Serbian Royal Family, church of St. George the charitable foundation of King Peter I Karadjordjevic, where there is also a family crypt of Serbian Royal family Karadjordjevic, filled with beautiful mosaic frescoes from Serbian monasteries. We’ll visit on of the famous King’s Cellar and Royal Vineyard, lunch with cheese pie and cream (kajmak). Overnight at Hotel in Belgrade.

 

Day 7 – Sunday

AthensBreakfast at the hotel -transfer to the airport BEG – flight 09.30am to Athens. Transfer to the hotel in Athens – after check-in , walking tour to Plaka – the oldest residential district of Athens. Its historic narrow lanes and stepped alleys wind up the lower slope of the Acropolis. Once the heart of working class Athens, then the centre of music and nightclubbing, nowadays it’s full of cafes and restaurants, also shops which tend to be aimed at tourists with prices to match. But it’s definitely the nicest part of Athens to wander around between visits to the nearby archaeological sites and museums. Dinner with folklore show will be served. Omonia Square Plateía Omonoías Concord Square, often simply referred to as Omónia, is a central square of Athens. It marks the northern corner of the downtown area defined by the city plans of the 19th century, and is one of the city’s principal traffic hubs. It is served by Omonia train station.

 

Day 8 – Monday

AcropolisBreakfast at the hotel Athens. City tour to Platela Syntagmatos (city’s square), Acropolis (iconic structures) Theater of Dionysus, Acropolis Museum, National garden, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Tomb of Unknown Soldier -guarded by the colorful Evzones. Diner at local restaurant and back to hotel. Overnight.

 

Day 9 – Tuesday

AthensBreakfast at the hotel Athens. Tour to Ancient Agora hub of social and commercial activity in the ancient city and the place Socrates, Pandrossan (main flea market), Central Market (the lively loud and bustling market), national archaeological Museum, Mount Lycabettus and Kolonaki Square. Dinner at local market. Back to hotel.

 

Day 10 – Wednesday

DelphiBreakfast at the hotel Athens. Full day excursion to Delphi, the most popular archaeological site in Greece, in ancient times was considered the center of known world, the place where heaven and earth met. This was the place on earth where man was closest to GOD.

 

Day 11 – Thursday

GreeceBreakfast early morning at hotel – transfer to airport Athens – flight via Belgrade to New York.
