Day 1, Friday : Nikola Tesla Airport – Jakovo village – Zasavica- Novi Sad (approx. 185 km) , LD

Arrival at Nikola Tesla Airport, Belgrade, where you will be met with your tour guide. Drive to small village Jakovo, where you will have a break from the long flight and enjoy in great atmosphere of a traditional restaurant. Lunch in this wonderful place with an unique and authentic national cuisine.
Followed by the visit of Zasavica Special Nature Reserve, the former and abandoned riverbed of Sava River, characterized by the presence of rare, endemic and relict species of birds, herbs and animals. The area of Zasavica Nature Reserve offers great educational and recreational possibilities, including wildlife observation, sports, bird-watching, fishing, boat rides, camping, photographing and hiking. Lunch in this beautiful reserve. Transfer to Novi Sad, the European Capital of Culture for 2012.
Check in at 4* hotel in the city center. After some time for the refreshment, dinner in a traditional restaurant in the very center of the city in a popular street full of restaurants and bars. Overnight.

Day 2, Saturday: Novi Sad – Petrovaradin – Sremski Karlovci – Krusedol Monastery – Velika Remeta Monastery – Belgrade (approx. 155 km) , BL

Breakfast at the hotel after which we take a panoramic sightseeing tour of Novi Sad major attractions, including a short walking tour in the pedestrian area and The Liberty Square (the main city square), the Cathedral, the Town Hall, Zmaj Jovina and Dunavska Street, the Orthodox Church. Followed by the visit of the second biggest fortification in Europe, Petrovaradin Fortress, also called the Gibraltar on the Danube, situated on the right bank of the Danube River. We continue our journey towards Cenej to one of the farms, where we will enjoy the slow food is the concept of Vojvodina’s life – slowly and gingerly. We’ll enjoy the traditional dishes of the Duchy in the shade of the old mulberry trees (without which the farm and can not be farm in Vojvodina).

Novi sadPetrovaradin Fortress

Departure to Sremski Karlovci, small baroque city on Fruska gora slopes, famous for its history and culture as well as quality wines and beautiful vineyards. Sightseeing of the most interesting place in the town: the Orthodox Church, the Patriarchy Court, the Theology School, the Grammar School. Visit to the wine-cellar including wine tasting (including Bermet – special desert wine which the town is famous for). Lunch in a nice restaurant on the Danube shore after which we go to Fruska gora, and visit the Krusedol monastery, probably the most beautiful monastery in “Serbian Athos” (how its called because of it 17 monasteries). The last one to visit is Velika Remeta Monastery one of the 16 medieval monasteries on Fruska Gora mountain, dedicated to the Holy Martyr St Demetrius, and features two chapels – one dedicated to Saint John the Baptist, from 18th century, and another one dedicated to the Ascension of the Holy Virgin, built in 1970.Way to Belgrade. Day 3, Sunday: Belgrade Full Day (approx. 30 km), BD

BelgradeBreakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing tour of the city. Belgrade is one of the oldest cities in Europe and has since ancient times been an important crossing of the ways where the roads of eastern and western Europe meet. The city lies on two international waterways, at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, which surround it on three sides. On foot we will visit the biggest park in Belgrade – Kalemegdan park and the Kalemegdan fortress.

White PalaceGorgeous view from the lookout at the confluence of the Sava and Danube and Novi Beograd is an excellent place for photographing. We continue walking to the old city of Belgrade (pedestrian zone) and Knez Mihailova Street all the way to Republic square up next to the National Museum and Theatre. After that, we will continue the sightseeing with bus. After that, we will continue the sightseeing with bus.

Saint Sava TempleVisit of the White Palace located within the same complex as The Royal Palace and it was commissioned by command of His Majesty King Alexander I. In a way back we will stop to visit the biggest Orthodox Temple in the Balkans – Saint Sava Temple. Our gourmet evening will be organized in most beautiful, bohemian part of Belgrade, called Skadarlija. This part of town will take you back few hundred years in past. Fantastic food, best wines and tambourine music will fulfill your experience. Return to the hotel, overnight.

 

Day 4, Monday: Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport – Flight to Dubrovnik , BD

DubrovnikAfter the breakfast, check out from the hotel and free time for the shopping in Knez Mihailova Street until transfer to Nikola Tesla Airport. Flight to Dubrovnik, Croatia at 13:40h. Upon arrival transfer to 3* hotel in this wonderful resort on the Adriatic Sea. Check in and dinner in a hotel. Free evening. Overnight.

Day 5, Thuesday: Dubrovnik – Trebinje – Dubrovnik (approx. 75 km), BL

TrebinjeAfter the breakfast, we head to Trebinje, the city which lies in the Trebišnjica river valley, at the foot of Leotar, in southeastern Herzegovina. Trebinje is first mentioned as Tribune in the 10th century at Constantine Porfirogenit. Then it was located on the caravan route that led from Koror and Dubrovnik to Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro. The town got its first urban contour in the Middle Ages. Sightseeing of this wonderful city and lunch in a nice restaurant. Way back to Dubrovnik. Free evening to explore and enjoy in the streets and resort vibes. Overnight.

 

Day 6, Wednesday : Dubrovnik Full day, BL

Breakfast. Full day for sightseeing tour of most beautiful city. You will visit Franciscan monastery, Old Pharmacy, Fortress…Lunch in a nice restaurant. Free time for individual activities in the afternoon. Overnight.

Day 7, Thursday: Dubrovnik – Ston – Korucula – Dubrovnik , BD

KorculaBreakfast at the hotel. Excursion to the Island of Korcula, which indisputable holds a privileged position among the Croatian islands. Here we find more legends, tales and monuments than anywhere else. Being famous stonemasons, shipbuilders and seafarers the people of Korčula left their marks all over the world, but they saved their best works for their own city. Experience the narrow streets, beautiful churches and magnificent palaces in one of the best preserved Medieval towns in the Mediterranean. After sightseeing free time for lunch.

StonOn the return trip a stop will be made in Ston. What will amaze you the most are its defensive walls, 5 kilometers long (about 3 miles) in the shape of a pentagon. Ston wall is the second longest wall in all of Europe, surpassed only by Hadrian’s Wall between Scotland and England. The town was strategically positioned to guard its centuries old salt pans which are still being worked today. You will have the possibility to taste the oysters directly from the sea prepared on different way. Return to Dubrovnik. Dinner in a nice restaurant. Overnight.

 

Day 8, Friday: Dubrovnik – Herceg Novi – Kotor –Tivat (approx. 115 km), BL

Herceg NoviBreakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel in Dubrovnik and head to Montenegro. The first stop will be made in Herceg Novi, a coastal town in Montenegro located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor and at the foot of Mount Orjen. It was a Catholic bishopric and remains a Latin titular see as Novi. Herceg Novi has had a turbulent past, despite being one of the youngest settlements on the Adriatic. A history of varied occupations has created a blend of diverse and picturesque architectural style in the city.

Lady of the RocksWay to Perast , an old town on the Bay of Kotor, where we will take a boat and visit Our Lady of the Rocks, and artificial island created bulwark of rocks and by sinking old and seized ships loaded with rocks. The Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Rocks is the largest building on the island and it has a museum attached.

KotorAfter this visit of the island, heading to Kotor, a town well known for its nautical tradition attracting a great number of tourists for its exclusivity. In the UNESCO-protected town of Kotor enjoy a guided tour through one of the best preserved medieval walled cities on the Adriatic. Visit the Old Town of Kotor and the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon, Romanesque church built in 1166. Lunch in nice restaurant in Kotor. Drive to Tivat, check in at the hotel and overnight.

 

Day 9, Saturday : Tivat – Tivat Airport (approx. 10 km), B

Early breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer from the hotel to the airport Tivat. Flight back to Belgrade at 06:30h.
